This week I had the pleasure of flying with Emirates for a 48 hour shopping tour of Singapore. This is not my first time to Singapore, nor my first time flying business class, but I must say, this was one of the most enjoyable flights I’ve experienced.

Emirates Business Class for me, really is an elevated experience versus other airlines.
The seats aboard the new A380 are huge - when travelling solo, I always pre-select an individual seat (from their 1-2-1 configuration). It is completely private, and as an added bonus comes with extra storage (which I love)!

The full flat bed is arguably one of the most comfortable I’ve experienced on board any airline, and the noise-cancelling headphones ensure that the journey is quiet and restful.

For me, the thing that really sets the Emirates experience apart from others has to be the service. From the complimentary chauffeur taking you to the airport and collecting you upon arrival, right through to the warm and over accommodating cabin staff - the service is above and beyond.

There is an on board cocktail lounge in Business Class, and entertainment-wise, over 3000 channels available on the Emirates ‘ICE’ entertainment system.

On this flight, for the first time, I did encounter two new experiences. The first was on-board duty-free shopping. To be honest, duty-free shopping has always been a bit of a mystery to me before now - but it really is simple and straight-forward (it’s as simple as picking your favourite items from the shopping catalogue on board) PLUS, you have the instant gratification of receiving your items immediately.
For me, I treated myself to a gorgeous Hermes fragrance pack.

The second new experience on this flight was a much anticipated visit to the First Class suites. As you would expect the seating is next level - the in built illuminated vanity mirrors and Emirates Private Collection by Bulgaria amenity kits are the prefect touch of luxury.
But it is the Onboard Shower Spa, that really is wow. You have everything you would demand in any ordinary spa experience, including a full size shower, heated flooring and a leather seating change area - pure bliss.

Next up - I touch down in Singapore and I’ll take you on a journey through some of my Shopping must-sees and dos.
