NYFW STREET STYLE PART II

Here is a look at my outfit for day 2 of NYFW, snapped running between shows.

I'm a big fan of slogan tees, and Zoe Karssen is always a favourite of mine - as you can see here in this earlier blog post.

During fashion week, I had quite a few questions about this skirt, which is one I designed a short while ago while travelling through Bali.

A leather skirt is such a versatile piece, and has served me well through my travels.

NYFW STREET STYLE PART I

As New York Fashion Week draws to an end, I thought I'd share some of my favourite looks with you.

For me, my fashion week style is all about simplicity and ease - beautifully tailored pieces, complimented by the perfect statement accessories.

I can never go past a great white dress in the summer time, and these beautifully intricate earrings, by my favourite jewellery designer, Fiel Sol add the perfect touch of glam.

Day after day of running all across town, I've also quickly learnt the importance of a large statement bag - an extra pair of flats in between shows, subways and cabs is a godsend and a hot little tip of mine for getting through fashion week relatively unscathed.

COLOUR BLOCKING PASTELS

Dear friends,

From Louis Vuitton to 3.1 Phillip Lim, to Prada, pastels and lady-like tailoring have featured heavily on catwalks.

Here is my take on the trend, experimenting by colour blocking pastel hues, as well as texture in these gorgeous THIMBLE shorts.

There is something eternally feminine about pastels, so I'm happy to see more and more designers picking them up.

I'm wearing:
TOMMY HILFIGER button up shirt
STYLESTALKER blazer
THIMBLE waisted shorts
TONY BIANCO sandals
MINKPINK shades

Luv,
