L'OREAL MELBOURNE FASHION FESTIVAL 2013

Friends, it is with great excitement that I share with you, that I have been announced as an ambassador for the 2013 L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

This means, that I'll be bringing you the best on and off the runway action over the 1 week long festival, which is set to be a fashion feast.

Today I, alongside fellow ambassadors (Fen, Chelsea, Davis and Megan), attended the official program launch, announcing an amazing line-up of beautiful runways, as well as the involvement of one of my design favourites in this year's festival - Mary Katrantzou.

You can view the full program online. My hot picks are the opening event presented by David Jones and Vogue,  L'Oreal Paris Runway 1, presented by Vogue.com.au and runway 3 presented by Grazia.

If you're in Melbourne during the festival, do make sure you pick up tickets, it's going to full of great surprises. If you aren't in Melbourne - I'll be brining you all the exclusives, so be sure to stay tuned to instagram (@friendinfashion) and twitter for all the updates.

Dear friends,

The other night, I was invited to sit front row at the Mimco Dreamwarp runway show as part of the Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

The show kicked off with an operatic bang, with a singer, emerging from the darkness to set the scene of the surreal 'dreamwarp' to follow.

Avant garde, pretty punk girls, draped in luxe accessories followed in a runway combining East meets West romance.

I wore my neon Imperial Itsy Bitsy shoulder bag.

Dear friends,

Last night, I slipped into this beyond gorgeous dress, via my favourite Melbourne online boutique, GINGERBREAD SHOP, and headed down to the Alex Perry runway show at the Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

The show was characterised, by feminine silhouettes, delicate shoes, perfect pastels and pretty neutrals, which was right up my alley. There is definitely something to be said about lady-like dressing.

Pretty dresses have always been my weakness and this one made me feel like an absolute princess. Pastels, full skirts and metallics, reminds me a lot of Louis Vuitton's, sweet pastel candy campaign!

Tonight I'm off to the In Style runway. Follow me on TWITTER for live updates from the show.
