MONOCHROME

Monochrome Street Style on Friend in Fashion

My first couple of weeks moving back home have been chaotic, between meetings and house inspections, which has meant keeping my style as quick and easy as possible. With this in mind, monochrome is failsafe.

This sports-luxe dress is the perfect to throw on, when I'm on the go, and Vintage Princess have come through with the goods with this beautiful leather carry-all.

SUMMER WHITE

To me nothing sums up summer fashion more than white.

Last week, after a chaotic move back from overseas, I caught up with my good friend and Zoie boutique owner, for an impromptu shoot.

I couldn't resist styling this beautiful cutout halter neck top, with an always classic pencil skirt - all white of course.

The sun was shining and it was good to be back home in Melbourne after six month abroad.

As the saying goes... No one realises how beautiful it is to travel until she comes home and rests her head on her old, familiar pillow.

Following on from my last blog post (HERE), I thought I'd share the second instalment of the lookbook shoot, I styled and modelled for ZOIE'S summer '13 collection.

Nothing beats the little black dress as a must-have wardrobe addition and this Keepsake dress, with sheer detailing and exposed back is the perfect balance of elegance, and fun.

Equally as important in my wardrobe is the perfect little white dress, so I couldn't help but pick out this pretty Shakuhachi floral shift dress to contrast with the black.

Last week, my friends at ZOIE, invited me to again, select my collection favourites to style and model for their latest summer '13 lookbook.

Stepping away from my usual style, I thought I'd grunge my look up a tiny bit, pump up the lip colour and play around with my favourite prints, colours and of course shapes.

Here is part one of our collaboration. Stay tuned for more coming soon.

These bustier crop tops - proved to be my collection highlights. I especially love them styled with high waisted skirts.

NEON MINI

So the sun is out, and nothing makes me more happy then spending any free time at the beach.

Last weekend, the Zoie team and I soaked up the rays, and snapped these impromptu shots, in my favourite Shakuhachi neon skirt. This incredible neon lace also comes in a dress, blogged earlier here.

There is something about wearing loud bursts of colour that makes me happy - neon on neon is one of my favourite colour combinations of late.

Bring on summer!

Summer time is fast approaching, which means lots and lots more colour to my wardrobe. Neon is always a favourite of mine, and I had a lot of fun teaming neon accessories with this vibrant Shakuhachi lace dress.

Tomorrow, I'm off to explore Daylesford for the first time. I'm so excited and can't wait to test-out the natural springs. As always, you can follow my adventure on instagram (@friendinfashion).

Last week, we were treated to a very warm afternoon, so sea breeze in hair, the team at zoie.com.au and I headed straight to the beach to snap some of their newest arrivals.

This too-sweet-for-words Shakuhachi dress, was another collection stand-out for me and is a real show-stopper.

From the floral lace, pretty pastels and elegant cut-out detail, what more could you want in a dress.

One of the best things about blogging for me is the great company I've been fortunate enough to meet. People sharing the same interests and passion as me, which transcends distance and time-zones.

Blogger babe and beauty behind this incredible floral brocade skirt, The Disco Pony Girl and I first connected through blogging, and now continue our trans-continental friendship. This girl masters beautiful prints & fabrics, so do keep your eyes peeled - amazing things await.

As for the talent behind these beautiful photos, another friend made through the wonderful world of blogging.
