ON FILM | 2014 WHAT A RIDE...

2014 for me was a year filled with extreme highs, and extreme lows.

On the one had, I had the good fortune of travelling the world, and on the other, this was the year that I experienced my first significant loss.

Now more so than ever, am I aware of just how beautiful and volatile life can be. And it is for this reason, that the philosophy of, living each day to its fullest (as cliche as it sounds) underpins by being and existence.

As my father would always say - be the kind of person who leaves a positive mark on the world.

My goal for 2015 is to explore more of this incredible world and give back in which ever way I can. I will focus on my health and well-being.
I want to make the most of each day and make each day count.

I am thankful beyond words for the opportunities and experiences I've enjoyed and the people I've met along the way - who have each left their mark on my journey.

But most of all, I owe thanks to YOU, for reading this post and my blog.

For now, I choose to reflect on the positive, highlighting some of my favourite adventures of 2014. From walking the red carpet in LA, alongside Leonardo Di Caprio, to snorkelling the beautiful depths of the Maldives, to experiencing the most terrifying and exhilarating bungee jump off Auckland Bridge.

I leave you with the thought 'blessed are the curious for they shall have the adventures'.

Happy new year to all of my gorgeous readers, and here's to a prosperous 2015.

I found these unpublished photos, from my recent trip to TOKYO.

This was my first trip to Japan in the summer time, and I can tell you it was scorching.

In the past I have visited the country in winter - taking advantage of the amazing snow on offer, so for some reason, I had the perception that summer in Tokyo would be a lot more mild.

Boy was I wrong…crop tops, and cotton skirts, cool showers and air conditioning got me through steamy TOKYO summer afternoons...

Yesterday, I shared with you some behind the scenes of my most recent trip to Tokyo.

True to form, I packed terribly for this trip - leather, sweaters and brogues - not realising just how warm summer in Tokyo is.

Left with nothing appropriate to wear for long days exploring the massive Tokyo city, I dashed into the nearest Zara and picked up this outfit to get me through the Tokyo heat.

Funnily enough - this has turned out to be one of my favourite outfits.

Easy, breezy and perfect for summer.

TOKYO VIEWS

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of a whirlwind visit to one of my favourites cities in the world - Tokyo.

My trip coincided with Airbnb's latest 'Global Views' campaign - which is giving you the chance to win a $10k view of your own. You can check out all the competition details [HERE].

Last year, I spent most of the year wandering around Europe, South America and the United States, and I relied on Airbnb listings for much of my travels. The thing I like best about renting this kind of accommodation versus a traditional hotel is that you have all the benefits of 'being at home' in a way.

On this trip I stayed in THIS incredible penthouse property in Tokyo - a beautifully designed urban warehouse space with the perfect array of travel and fashion reads, music and movies all at my disposal. Not to mention the picture perfect views of the iconic Tokyo Tower.

I'll follow up with my Tokyo must sees shortly, but in the meantime - head on over to  Airbnb for your chance to win an amazing trip of your own.

Absolutely head over heels for Tokyo!

I've spent the better part of this week exploring the incredible sights, sounds and fashion this amazing city has on offer.

It's all I hoped for and more. Copious amounts of fresh sushi, a never ending supply of neon, beautiful manicured gardens, Harajuku girls, and fabulous shopping on every street.

Already planning my next visit.

P.S. I'll be hopping on a plane tomorrow on my way back to Sydney for some crazy New Year celebrations, before relocating to Melbourne! So excited to check out the Melbourne fashion scene, sharing my adventures with you along the way.
